Protection & Reversal Magick: A Witch's Defense Manual by Jason Miller

4.0

This book is very usefull if you're already somewhat advanced in the craft and know how to tweak rituals and spells to fit your path. Jason Miller is obviously extremely knowledgeable and offers some great ideas on how to protect yourself. The drawback of this volume is that the author draws from a vasta array of tradition whithout explaining their most frequently used terms. The average reader who may be familiar with one or two traditions is therefore left with some questions. Furthermore at one point he offers a recipe for a cleansing bath that contains ammonia - this doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
However I find myself referencing this book a lot since many of his suggestions are easily adaptable in a safe and simple way. The ideas for charms and powders for example are really good. I also need to add that this is a very important topic to write about and I'm glad that Jason Miller did so. When you cast his spells and rituals please make sure that the ingredients are chemically safe and know what entities you are calling upon. It did the trick for me to change the wordings and correspondence to the entities I'm familiar with.
