DNF'd. Writing a review like this is always tough because I admire the effort and commitment that goes into writing a book.
The story started strong, with a great setup with a lot of promise. As it progressed that momentum stalled. The writing style felt inconsistent, shifting to overly formal language at times when it didn’t fit the tone or context.
While Cameron was a well developed as a character, Riley felt underwhelming - lacking depth and often reduced to whining without contributing meaningfully to the plot.
I wanted to love this, but it just didn’t work for me in the end.
