This is one of my most highly anticipated releases of all time Auren is my whole heart and Slade 😍 I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about my journey with these characters coming to an end but Raven Kennedy is amazing and I’m so happy with this book. So here are a few of my thoughts because I am absolutely obsessed with this series.
The ending: Absolutely perfect. Stunning. I could not have asked for anything else - except more books which brings me to...
A possible future spinoff? I would love to see Emonie and Ryatt since their stories are unfinished and they clearly have a mutual attraction. Plus I'd like to see more from Lu. AND we don't know what's happening to the monarchies back in Orea
The final battles: Honestly, the stone king battle reminded me a lot of the Night King battle and trust me when I say they should have had Raven Kennedy write that. It would have been incredible. And the battle with Slade's father reminded me a bit of the battle at King's Landing. All in all. It would have been better by Raven Kennedy.
For those of you who are like me and need some spoilers to feel safe about reading this book...
Auren and Slade: They end up together, alive and happy
Argo: is not the creature that dies. He ends up happy and healthy with Slade and Auren
Digby: alive and finding his own HEA
Slade's dragon: dies but he comes back at the very end
