From the very beginning of this book, I knew it was going to rip my heart out in the best way. And it totally did. Blair's story just broke my heart, especially having such desciptive flashbacks throughout the book. But for as sad as his story started, the way he grew once being brave enough to free himself was blindingly beautiful. He learned to stand up for himself, to love himself, and to let himself be loved. I adored his sense of humor and his attitude. The scene where he finds Boots was one of my favorites in the book, seeing him break down his walls of fear to save that tiny kitten, because at his core, he was just such a purely good person, and in that moment, he saw that, too. I loved how hopelessly awkward Richard was, too, and how soft he was for Blair. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't help gravitating to him. This book was so incredibly well written and infused with so much deep emotion. And the spice! Holy hell, the spice! I loved everything about this book, honestly, and I will be reading more from this author immediately!
