This is such a sprawling story, for better or worse. Was there a little too much detail? Probably. Could it have been shorter and more focused? Probably. But the book was incredibly engrossing. There were a few genres in this book which made chapters feel distinct and keep things interesting. I need a breather before starting the next book but I will be starting it, eventually.
