The American Heiress by Daisy Goodwin

4.0

Cora Cash finds herself newly married, with a new title and caught in the middle of a love triangle. Finding out how she handles these new life changing events was enjoyable.

The Duke had me from the beginning. He was and ended up being what I hoped for him. Cora may have been blind to the events going on around her but when she finally opened her eyes she laid it out. Thick. Charlotte is a nasty, hateful women. Glad she did not triumphant. Her and her husband really did deserve each other. And Teddy. Poor Teddy. I had rooted for him too. He was left empty handed. What a perfect and kind soul. I hope he finds everything he deserves in some alternate universe where his story is written. Also, I loved Bertha and her side of the story. Sometimes when I felt sorry for Cora here comes Bertha preaching the truth.

Overall great read. Loved the historical aspect of this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
