The Last Wilderness by Murray Morgan

4.0

This is an enjoyable book that is filled with compelling stories of the early days of the Olympic peninsula. The author's style made for an easy flowing book that never felt like a textbook even though it was quite informative. He centered his narrative around the colorful people who made a mark on the founding and development of the towns of Puget Sound. He also described with affection how he felt about the wilderness and how hard it was to explore. I'd recommend this book to any nature lover, environmentalist, or Washington history lover.
