Enjoyed this book enough, my main points are that it took a while to get properly exciting although the build up was alright, and that yeah, this book escalates and gets a bit dark for a kid’s book. BUT, I did initially read it as an 11 year old and it didn’t do me any harm so 6 years down the line it was equally enjoyable!
Loving the evil child trope Catherine has in this series and especially the end of this book. Then Owen just shoots her and to be honest I think that was needed. Almost cathartic. Enjoyed Owen a lot in this book because as always he is the GOAT 🫶 Even that I remembered from my childhood reading of this series.
