Now it might just be because I’m an annoying left leaning liberal douchebag that loves magic and shit but this book grabbed me. Men in power being confronted with horror because of the horror they unleased against people, cool powers and intense decisions to be made with people fighting against forces that declared them to not be people.
This book was fun and enjoyable. I have the general complain I get with all fantasy aka I needs more people of color but that’s something I’ve sadly come to expect with books I read (one of the main characters Oscar Britton is black but I can always use more) I’m not gonna spoil anything here but with the last book out I think everyone/anyone can take a shot with these books.
