Everywhere Blue by Joanne Rossmassler Fritz

5.0

Rhythm of Lives

Everywhere Blue is a gift of a book. Written in concise and exquisite verse. Each verse carries weight and meaning, adding layers to a story of family, belonging, and growing up.

The book focuses on how we change within the dynamics of a family, moving into teenage years or towards adulthood. When Maddie's older brother goes missing her world, her family, her understanding of everything is thrown into turmoil.

It is also a story illustrating how our connection to our environment is so fundamental, given the seriousness of climate change - especially for the next generations.

While aimed at the MG reader, there is so much to read and appreciate in Joanne Fritz's excellent writing, that all ages will enjoy and benefit from.

Highly recommended.
