Not a usual romance genre reader (this might be my second or third ever), but I liked reading this enough that I might try more. I like how Center doesn't linger too long on drama or angst, but keeps the story moving in lighthearted comedic fashion, picking up and putting down plot threads very deftly. There's no surprises, the characters are mostly just deep enough not to be two dimensional, and it's all feel good, pure romcom stuff. There was one moment

with the Hollywood ex at the party comparing herself to the MC and everyone voting

that was eyebrow raisingly overdramatic, but it was the only minor stumble I experienced. Great if you need a light palate cleanser.
