The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth

3.0

Sally Hepworth is one of my favorite authors; with that being said…

There wasn’t very much character development in this book. I had a hard time trying to connect with any one major character. It seemed like a lot of the back stories were left out; ex. what triggered Pippa’s kleptomania at 11? **if I missed it, please feel free to let me know** There’s several more examples that I can think of, but I don’t want to spoil the book.

I did think it was a decent story and felt like it was a solid 4⭐️s…right up until the end. There’s nothing that absolutely pisses me off more than reading a book, getting to the last chapter, and the ending being shitty af. It ruins my mood for the rest of the day. It’s been four days and I’m still a little salty about it
