🌈 Rainbow Rainbow:Stories by Lydia Conklin 🌈

I notoriously can’t stand short stories. I think they’re difficult for my brain to follow because I’m always still hung up on the previous one. Maybe it’s because I took more time with this one but I actually really liked it!

I found it refreshing to read queer stories from a non-binary, trans, and lesbian perspective for a change. The fact that that seemed different to me shows that I need to consume more of that narrative.

I thought the stories were engaging and left me wanting more which I think is the goal of most short stories. My only complaint is that I sometimes felt like the stories took a little long to get started or maybe were just slow movers? Not a dealbreaker for me though, just meant I needed to spend more time with it!
