I listened to this book on audio and think I would have enjoyed it so much more if I would have read it myself. This book is told from James perspective where the first one was told by Aimee, and I must admit, I didn’t care for the narrator on this one. I understand why they picked him because it goes back and forth between Carlos and James POV and Carlos has a Spanish accent, but...meh. I liked the story ok. On story alone I would rate it 3.5-4 stars. I was curious when the first book ended how the 2nd would play out and it was entertaining to see how the story unfolded. The story had good pacing which kept me interested. I’m happy to see the 3rd book in the series has Amy Landon (who narrated the first) and a new male narrator so I will definitely be giving the 3rd a listen.
