Just meh

Review previously placed on my blog:

I'm currently reading Solitaire by Alice Oseman. I'm listening to the audiobook for a buddy read. This is on my Authors TBR.

Not super loving this, but also not disliking this. I didn't know this book was about Tori and I absolutely love that. The story itself just isn't very great, but am curious to see where it is going.

This was just okay. I found certain references really difficult to read, but they apparantly changed that, so that is good. I really think this story could have been way better if the whole Solitaire part was left out and had just focussed on the characters. There were also some things I found a bit problematic to be honest. So just not great, but it is the debut from this author and I did think Loveless and of course Heartstopper are better. Excited to read Radio silence next month and see if I like that one better.
