This book truly exemplifies my theory that narrators can make or break a book; Jake Gyllenhaal who narrated my particular version absolutely smashed it (sorry Taylor, but the boy is talented). He brought the characters to life beautifully, adding so much more depth and realism and humour than when the book is physically read and especially when it is then studied (big yuck).
If you are struggling with classics, listen to them. It really helps to convey why people love them.
