A Sky of Paper Star is a middle grades graphic novel about Yuna, a Korean-American student who just wants to fit in. She wants to go to sleepovers, have a cellphone, and eat cafeteria food like all of her other friends. When her grandmother passes away unexpectedly, Yuna and her family make the trip to Korea for the funeral.
When I saw someone reading this book, my interest was instantly peaked. The tears I cried while reading this book. 😭 The way grief, loss, and finding your identity were handled so well. Anything less than 5 stars would be a crime.
