Of Neptune

So, right from the get go the timeline of this story makes no sense. Book One covers the end of summer/school starting. Book Two covers a few months worth of time which should put us dead set in winter in New England roughly, and while I understand that the Syrena don’t get cold in the water, it would still be cold and snowy outside, yet that’s never mentioned. By the end of that book we are somehow miraculously in a prom scenario, which typically happens closer to graduation in the spring. So where did all the winter months and early spring go? Because the beginning of Book Three prom has come and gone and they are talking about going on a trip together since somehow they both managed to graduate high school without either of them attending any classes. The timeline is really screwy and I’m betting the author didn’t think anyone would care so she didn’t deign to make it cohesive, but I guess I’m a person who cares
