ithinktfiam 's review for:
Age of Swords
by Michael J. Sullivan
Story moves forward as some of the crew stay and deal with politics of the tribes while the women of the team go to the dwarf city to try to get more modern weaponry. This is a rather standard book with the one striking exception of the well written bit about Suri's sacrifice and the overall well done political split of the story: the men posture and argue while the women quietly go and get things done. On the negative side, there's no real foundation for what happens in the dwarf hill or why the dwarf leader is so dishonest, it's just a plot driver.
