I kept waiting for it/ the main character to get better. I wanted more, but not sure what the more would be? More likeable, more accountable? More proactive? More lively?
She spends the year ‘resting’ and instead of coming out of that wiser, more grateful for life or actually willing to experience any strong emotion that makes us human. She continues to live it aimlessly. Maybe I’m harsh on her because I’m so desperately in need of a break?
