I put this onto tbr after seeing two Fable book clubs I’m in reading it, then I started seeing a lot of raving reviews about it. After reading it I can say I don’t think it’s worth the hype, but I did still enjoy the book.

I’m usually not a big third person fan, but it really seemed to work with this and I can’t explain why. It was cool to see how each part of the wedding played out and Phoebe’s role within it and how it helped her grow in some way. You could really see the character development through her with each and every moment. My favorite character was definitely Juice - she had no filter in the best way and I was eating up anything she did or say. I loved how the ending was - was worried it would be a little corny but it felt very satisfying for me.

The way reviews were, I expected to be laughing out loud at some point, but it never came it was more dark humor at some parts. I feel like this book could’ve been a lot shorter. The beginning and part of the middle just felt to drag on and I was ready for the next part. Lila just became more and more insufferable, which I’m guessing was the point but anytime she was involved, I dreaded it.

Although I did like the book, don’t think I’ll go around recommending it, especially if I’m not aware of triggers since this does have lots of suicide/metal health involved. I will say, think this could be a pretty good movie.
