Robinson Crusoe
by Daniel Defoe
This is the worst book I ever read. I could not tell if Defoe meant this to be satire or not because the character of Crusoe is not only an unrepentant murder and colonist, he's also insufferable and an example of the kind of white man who continually "falls up," or what Crusoe conveniently calls "Providence." I hate him. I hate this book. And, I only read it so I can now read critiques of capitalism and white supremacy that use this as an example. This book should be completely forgotten.
