Madwoman by Chelsea Bieker

This one had a great premise and felt super promising after seeing a few rave reviews, but it was just ok to me.
I felt like I knew where this story was headed from the very beginning, and I was right. No matter what, forseeing the twists and turns just ruins part of the “thriller” element and always ruins the genre for me.
This is a slow burn, and unfortunately, the backstory was also interspersed with too much new age/hippy information for me. It also really focused on the children which wasn’t as necessary as it sounds. Ultimately, I was just bored with the story. It definitely under delivered for me.
