Elevation was my first Stephen King book, and it wasn’t what I expected. It’s definitely not a horror novel, but rather a short, almost fable-like story with themes of connection and acceptance. The premise was intriguing, but the plot felt a bit too simple, and it didn’t leave a lasting impact. I didn’t dislike it, but I was hoping for something more.
