Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean by Shiloh Sloane, Shiloh Sloane

5.0

"Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean" by Shiloh Sloane is seriously one captivating dark read that will grab you and keep you hooked, no joke. I devoured this book weeks ago, but I swear, I still can't get those scenes out of my head!

The story is a paranormal/horror romance and has shapeshifters.

Now, let's talk about the characters because, damn, they're something else. Ridge, the younger bro, he's all about embracing his wild side, like, zero chill. He's ruthless and untamed, enough to make your blood boil. On the other hand, his older bro, Wright, manages to keep his humanity intact even after some serious tragedy. These characters are complex, like, seriously fascinating, I'm telling you.

Our girl Sadie, is all sweet and delicate, but life throws her a massive curveball when her dad passes away and tries to take her down with him. To survive, she's forced to do some intense stuff like hunting down evil and making sacrifices left and right. But when she bumps into the Lindells, her whole plan goes straight out the window.

This story had me hooked from page one, no lie. The world-building is off the charts, I could practically taste the salty ocean waves and hear the creepy creaking stairs as Sadie raced for her life.

And let's not even get me started on the heat between Ridge and Sadie! It's like they set the damn page on fire! When he drops the line, "I'm gonna eat you bite by bite, little fawn," I swear I needed a cold shower. Their love is all-consuming, no doubt about it!

Overall, "Then, Earth Swallowed Ocean" is one hell of an exhilarating ride. It's a gripping, dark tale with shapeshifters, dark mysteries, and a romance that'll make your heart burst into flames. Seriously, you gotta dive into this book. Buckle up and get ready for one mind-blowing adventure!

Oh, and listen up, Karen-types! This book's a dark paranormal romance, so be sure to check out the triggers before you dive in. It covers some heavy themes like cannibalism, abuse, addiction, suicidal thoughts, gore, violence, and more. So, yeah, be prepared, okay?
