vidyareads 's review for:
The Brooklyn Follies
by Paul Auster
fast-paced
The opening line in the first chapter is “ I was looking for a quiet place to die. Someone recommended Brooklyn, and so the next morning I traveled down there from Westchester to scope out the terrain.”
Now you would think this would be an unhappy book. But the book is actually far from that. I found it very funny and found myself smiling a lot. I should have read Paul OscarAuster years ago. Highly recommend
