Reading this was a messy, mixed up and and I daresay at time annoying experience. Not that any of that is negative. In fact, I think it mirrored the downward spiral our main character was facing really well. I would have liked to see the family elements explored some more because every time we did it was really impactful. Again it makes sense that it wasn't as investigated, as our main character was not in the headspace to be able to deal with it. I guess it was just a bit lacklustre compared to AS King's other books for me in the end.
