Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

5 ⭐️

I read this book for the first time around 2010 when it was published and decided to reread the entire saga this year for the release of “Midnight Sun”, the fifth book of the saga. And I must say, I don’t regret it one single bit. I’m amused at how much I enjoyed this reread of the saga, but especially this last book.
This book is divided into three parts, two of which are narrated by Bella Swan and one by Jacob Black. I think that factor added a great value to the telling of the story. Seeing everything from inside the wolf pack’s point of view was really interesting and also a very elegant solution from the author to being able to actually talk about the whole pregnancy situation properly and without missing important details to it.
The story really doesn’t get boring since there is honestly something happening all the time (so much it could have easily divided into two books if Stephenie Meyer would have decided to do so).
There were a lot of things resolved which were left hanging from the previous books, which I really appreciated since I find it to be annoying when authors just leave loose wires hanging from a plot.
I really liked the ending as well and I believe it made the character’s personality and evolution to be cohesive and coherent building up a bit of tension and “suspense” in the middle.
The only thing I really didn’t like, which is really just a minor detail, was the name of the last chapter. I found it was pushing a bit too hard and I remember feeling the same way when I read it for the first time around ten years ago. But that’s honestly just a small tiny detail.

Bottom line, I really recommend the saga, especially this last book, and I’m really looking forward to reading “Midnight Sun” ♥️
