The female relationships in this book were so refreshing. I was so so happy that the author took the approach she did during the exchange between Nastasia and Callie. And to have a female lead who actually has some self respect while still being extremely relatable in her insecurities and flaws. I loved the romance, it kept you on your toes even though you know there will be a HEA, there was angst and anticipation. I also liked that Callie didn’t vastly change her appearance in order to stand out, the difference was that she felt pretty is a wonderful and important difference that I haven’t seen in a lot of books. I feel like this was a very healthy book which is sometimes rarer in this genre!
