The Burning Maze
by Rick Riordan
(A-) 93% | AGES 13+ | It’s taken me a while to face this review. To be honest, didn’t expect much from this book. I was so wrong. This book, broke my heart and shattered it into a million pieces. I swear to god, bring him back NOW. If not, and this is for real. May he Rest In Peace. He held such a special place in my heart. Why does it hurt so much? It’s like you’ve ripped out my heart and thrown it back in not even caring about its place and function. You cannot just do that. You can’t just bring someone back just to kill him off. My heart aches and hurts. It’s hard to say his name. It’s hard to think of him. Even when I see blond boys, I will think of him. When I see a brick, I will think of him. When I see lightning strike in the sky, I will think of him and know he’s in the Elysian Fields. I haven’t felt this way since PJO The Last Olympian. How could I forgive you? Do you even deserve it?
Otherwise, this book is the best in the Trials of Apollo so far. Thanks Uncle Rick, for that. Good job. You made me cry in front of my family while they laughed at me. It’s the joy of being your fan.
