The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
3.0
So, I've had this book on my Kindle for a while but never quite got around to reading it. Then this week one of my friends here on gr had added it and I was like 'wait a minute... don't I have this?' So obviously I did have it and being in need of a good book to read I though 'why not?' After reading it however I'm torn on how to rate it.
I want to give the author props for creativity with the whole Pandora's Box, it was interesting and I'm really looking forward to reading up on the stories for the others who were also affected. The romance however, it was just strange and lacking all around. Yes the H&H ended up together but after finishing the book and thinking about it I felt a bit cheated in that department. Maybe it's because it's the first book in the series, but everything was so jumbled with different bit's of information that the H&H didn't actually spend a whole lot of time together.
In the end 4.5 stars for creativity and plot, and 3.5 for the story and romance it's self.
