Aidan is the epitome of a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A loving, involved father, a grieving widow, a former marine, and a “neighbourly” man always willing to help out his community.

In his spare time, he enjoys stalking, kidnapping, assaulting and killing various women. One woman has been held captive on his property for the last five years, right under the unsuspecting noses of his neighbours, teenaged daughter and late wife.

This was a truly addictive read from the start; The type of book that you have to pick up even when you have only 5 minutes to spare. This will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up and have you questioning everyone around you- because, do you ever really know your neighbours?

As much as I loved most of this book, it left me ultimately feeling some disappointment. The ending felt a little underwhelming and rushed to me, especially after such an exciting lead up. There were things left unsaid and I wanted more details and explanation.

I’d still recommend this book as it was one of the more captivating thrillers I’ve read in a while.
