Heat: An Amateur's Adventures as Kitchen Slave, Line Cook, Pasta-Maker, and Apprentice to a Dante-Quoting Butcher in Tuscany by Bill Buford

3.0

While I liked the book, I enjoyed the sections where the author was working in a kitchen better than the descriptions of a food's history or when he was learning skills in Italy. Plus, there were too many 'characters' for me to keep them all straight.
