The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie

5.0

I have to agree that it's absolutely true since it's straightforward. It's not sugar-coated in any way, the story is told exactly as it happened including curses, sexuality, alcoholism, racism, and much more "taboo" topics that are not common in children's books. It is real, expressing exactly what was going on, and for that reason, I have to admit it's an important book we should all read to be able to understand better the Indian culture and what's going on.
