 There Are More Beautiful Things Than Beyonce is an unfiltered, no holds barred, fierce, sometimes confronting, unapologetic look at the realities of being a Black woman in America, particularly the ways others use or seek to police their bodies. Several of them have been inspired, in a variety of different ways, by Beyoncé; another by Michelle Obama. These are poems packed with strong feelings and as a reader I couldn’t not feel them too.
