The Guest List is an interesting take on a locked room mystery with a fascinating cast of characters, a few twists, and a remote location that creates a great suspenseful book that shows secrets will not stay that way.

I love the suspense Lucy Foley is able to make with the remote location and the violent storms. I also love how Lucy Foley can take all these different stories and make them seamlessly come together to create one big picture. Finally, I enjoyed that you don't actually find out who is murdered until the end because it kept me that much more engaged.

The cast of characters are interesting, but I did not connect to a single one, so I didn't shed a tear. If I had to pick one character that I didn't entirely dislike, it would have to be Olivia because she does her best to protect those she loves even when it causes her deep pain. I admire that love and devotion to family.

Highly recommend to thriller fans, any lock room mystery fans, and any Agatha Christie fans because I think Lucy Foley pays a good homage to Christie in her novels.
