Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card
4.0

I liked this and Ender's Game equally. Although if you read one you know the other's plot as well (so the ansible wasn't a surprise, sadly . . . I really liked how nobody figured it out and they were doing all the maneuvering).

I enjoyed the Bible references.

I got a new look at Bean. He was amazing. I had thought of him as a pretty tough little kid when I saw him in Ender's Game, but he's more than that. Funny how he seems like an outsider in Shadow, but Ender seems like an outsider in Game.

I kind of feel sad that he's gonna die young. But I am definitely reading the rest of this series.
