Saving Raphael Santiago by Sarah Rees Brennan, Cassandra Clare
2.0
Eh, this was alright. I feel these stories are about everyone but Magnus, and he’s just kind of there as background. He was involved, but not really. Magnus stopped Raphael from committing suicide and gave him a place to live while he tried to control his new vampire abilities, but I was expecting him to be more involved with it. Like, he never actually tells Raphael much about being a vampire and Raphael instead just kind of figures it out on his own while staying with Magnus. I also found it very uncomfy when Ragnor thought that Magnus was dating Raphael when he looked like a 14-year-old boy. Also, like…very strangely written dialogue in this one.
