A Husband's Regret
by Natasha Anders
I love the first novel in this series and it's honestly one of my favorite books I've read in a long time.
This one though was just hinged on a huge misunderstanding which shouldn't have even been a thing considering how fucked up he was and the health and emotional state he was in. Also the fact that his friends/family were instantly on his side and wrote the heroine off as a cruel bitch made little sense. I hated the entire set up. This colored the rest of the novel.
As great as the chemistry was between the hero and heroine and the rest of the story, I couldn't get over how fucking stupid the misunderstanding was.
