In a Jam by Kate Canterbary
4.0
In a Jam is not like most marriage of convenience tropes I have read. Unlike most, Noah and Shay had agreed to keep their marriage to themselves. I also thought it was interesting that Noah resented Shay for part of the book, despite being drawn to her. I thought this was an interesting change to this trope and I enjoyed it.
After being left at the alter Shay inherits her step grandmother's tulip farm and on a whim decides to move to Friendship, RI. Even with putting her life back together, people were drawn to her bubbly personality. Noah was grumpy and had a chip on his should because he used to be heavier and had a bunch of acne, now that his face cleared and he lost weight, people felt the need to mention it or even treat him differently.
These 2 were what the other needed. Shay just wanted to have someone truly love her and Noah had spent half of his life doing just that, without her knowing. Great story!
