The author is definitely writing from a left-leaning bias, which doesn’t affect most of the book, but I suppose you should take that into consideration before reading. Personally, I wish it had a bit more depth on the “actual cults” such as Jonestown. The writing is a bit circular and repetitive at times, but overall a good read.
