my interest was barely there while reading the first few chapters of this book but my intrigue picked up in the middle parts. it did take me awhile to finish because the writing was complex and not necessarily straightforward. complex writing and third person pov do not mix.
i did like the quotes that derived from the book. they were relatable and real. eventually, i was able to appreciate the book and the relationship between eva and shane but the “wow” factor didn’t come, the book felt stagnant from start to finish.
