This is the best and most original not quite urban fantasy I've read in quite sometime. I saw someone compare it to Ilona Andrews's Kate Daniels, and that's just rude. It is so freaking much better than that drivel, and I hope it stays that way. If the series were to decline to the Kate Daniels level of "good" I would be very sad.
