This was my first cowboy romance & it’s set a high standard that’s for sure.

The detailing is so divine, you feel & smell the Montana landscape.

It’s a love at first sight, forbidden romance with every shade of morally grey. The revenge plot runs deep, and the character development even deeper. It’s hard not to love Sovereign & Westin. Their dynamic alone is spicy, their loyalty & fierce protectiveness of one another. A bond like that between men is undeniably attractive.

I love the inclusion of Maddie, a long-standing sovereign ranch staff member with motherly energy. The relationship Keira develops with Maddie is tender. Having another prominent female character added a softness that balanced the ruggedness of some elements.

The spice in this breaks the scale. If they made a sauce with this level of spice and served it on hot ones, nobody would survive 🥵 just sayin’ 🍗🌶️🔥
