Monstrous: A Transracial Adoption Story by Sarah Myer

dark emotional informative reflective fast-paced

5.0

An excellent graphic memoir with very well done artwork. There was so much raw truth told with fantastical elements as metaphors for the pain and anger Sarah Myer felt growing up as a transracial adoptee in a rural town that was very much a product of its times in the 90s/early 2000s. I really liked this one, though it was a difficult read at times.
