'Salem's Lot by Stephen King

4.0

Classic and highly entertaining Good Vs Evil story set in a small town, portrayed with a remarkable sense of intrigue and poignancy. There is enough here to keep you interested throughout. I did think King played it "safe" but this was only his second novel. He also relies on quite a few tired tropes, but again, this was an hommage to Dracula written in 1975. This wasn't his strongest ending or climax either, but what stays with me is the trip, not the destination... as is often the case with this author.
