I got this book ages ago from @malone.design blind date books and finally read it, well I listened to the audio! This was a great pick by Malones.

The narrator(s) captivated me, once I got passed the transcript-type passages when Pip was writing up what she recorded, I was hooked. I wanted to know what was going on and who did it.

Pip was an engaging main character and when she teamed up with Ravi I was in love. Those two together on the page are brilliant. They bounce off each other well and the humour was contagious.

As the mystery was unravelling I didn't know which way it was going to go. One twist was easy to figure out but others weren't. While I was listening we were hit with the plot twist an hour and a bit out, so I was glad we then wrapped up some other things that were still unanswered. The end shook me! I didn't expect that.

This was a very good YA mystery that kept me guessing. I will say though there is ALOT of triggers in this book and I'd look into them first before reading. It certainly upper YA and for me, I'd say borderline adult with the themes it covers.

I enjoyed it so much (apart from certain themes) I ended up borrowing book 2 from the library and I'm now halfway through it.
