A Cold Highland Wind by Tasha Alexander

3.0

I cannot express how much I dislike Tasha Alexander shoving two separate novellas into a single book and calling the whole thing a "Lady Emily Mystery." She's clearly capable of writing a novel-length mystery since the first half of the series are all only focused on Emily's story. The only reasons I continue to read the series are because she writes well and I like Emily and Colin.

This time the two stories are connected by a single sentence at the end of the book. You can literally skip all of the Tansy chapters and not lose anything from the "main" story with Emily.

To be clear, I have no issue with her writing these stories. She does the research and clearly finds something worth writing. I just wish she'd publish them separately and leave Emily and Colin out of it.
