Yukon Ho! by Bill Watterson

5.0

The title arc here is surprisingly long, and has one of my favorite moments from Calvin's mom (she calls for Hobbes after Calvin loses him in the woods. It's very endearing). And while Watterson had his art really figured out by the end of the first book, and it was even more dialed in in the second, there's a sense of movement now that shows a mastery over the medium. There's also a great meta-strip about copy-pasting art. Also, we get the first (very, very brief) appearance of Stupendous Man.
