Honestly I don't want to be too harsh because I think the writer has some real world building talents. However there were some parts that were harder for me to get through and some of the dialogue felt off. Personally I was not a fan of the main character, but that's not a critique of the writer's skill, just made some of the scenes difficult to push through. I will say that I'm hooked though and will continue onto the next book.
